London Self Catering Online is a flexible and responsive property management company who specialise in short term lets in London. Our first site, providing Edinburgh self catering accommodation, started in late 2007 and now markets over 150 holiday properties in the Edinburgh area. Self Catering Online has now expanded to become more global and provide London self catering accommodation, and there will be more locations in future. Our Self Catering Online website provides a range of services including marketing, web advertising, booking, financial management for landlords, and most importantly a personal service to help guests find the property that is right for them.

Background
Self Catering Online (which first started as Edinburgh Flats Partnership) was established in 2007 by Lenore Kennedy and Janet Unsworth who both own and manage their own properties as well providing these services for other property owners. Our website covers self catering apartments in the Edinburgh and Lothian areas; and recently added in 2010 the London area.
Lenore started her working life in the IT industry; and in her spare time ran a long term let (small) flat company (with her husband); When Janet approached her to discuss long term letting versus Short Term Letting, Lenore began to research the short-term letting market. Her conclusion was that the holiday letting websites for Edinburgh were poor, and there was room for an easy to use website that offered online booking. And so began the start of Edinburgh-Flats Partnership. Now Self Catering Edinburgh is a highly successful website offer holiday apartments (from budget to luxury) to a variety of visitors that come to Edinburgh for work or fun.
Janet is a Physics graduate, a Fellow of the Institute of Management Accountants and a Member of the British Computer Society. Her background is as a Management Consultant, Project Manager and Executive in the technology and financial services sectors.
Janet had 12 great years living in London, moving up to Edinburgh in 2001. After selling property in London, Janet started to invest in property in Edinburgh. She identified the challenges of covering costs with buy-to-let property and the tax advantages of short term lets. As a result she acquired 2 flats in central Edinburgh and started to opertate them as holiday let properties. This was successful, but rather frustrating as the services provided to support holiday let landlords in advertising their properties was poor, and the costs were high.
