Location was good
Flat was well positioned and had everything we needed for our week stay in Edinburgh. Space was smaller than we were used to, but so little time was spent in the apartment, it was no bother.
Janet was very good with her communications and once i realized i had left my kindle behind, she was very good in meeting with my brother for handover.

Central well equipped
The flat was a modern furnished, bright, spacious and clean living areas. It comes with all the basic and some extras too. Our stay was very enjoyable here. The management of the rentals were very helpful and accommodated any request we had. I would have no hesitation in recommending this appartment or the letting agency.

This flat was spacious, tidy, well-stocked and perfectly situated. It was near local bus and train links, but also only 10 mins walk to the sea front. It was modern, nicely furnished and had all the necessary amenities plus a few extras. The owners' belongings are in the flat but this was an added bonus rather than a hindrance (DVDs, CDs and books). The flat was situated behind the busy road and therefore was wonderfully quiet. Representative of the owner easy to deal with and instructions made everything clear. Wonderful property - I would definitely stay again!

Alternative holiday accommodati...
In order to keep costs down we decided to rent a self catering flat (apartment) instead of the B&B or hotel option. Economically it works as we - 4 adults and a child - shared 3 bedrooms. The flat was not set up as a permanent rental, as it was obvious that the owners also resided here from at times, going by the family photos everywhere and the lock boxes in each room.
The flat was spacious enough with TV and internet access. The double bedrooms are cramped with the beds being shoved against the wall, so expect your partner climbing around if they need to get up in the middle of the night. The lounge has a 6 seater table, a 3 seater sofa, a broken organ and a writing bureau. It would have been nice to have lounge seats for the 5 occupants to relax in, rather than non-useful furnishings.
There were stickers everywhere; mostly useful telling you how things work and a flat manual with some useful information in it. There was a sticker with a rather threatening message about charging you cleaning costs for leaving cup/glass rings on the furniture. There is a good supply of coasters though.
The flat is in a large block, so expect lots of noise, like late night revellers and screaming kids.
The payment methodology was irritating. There are 2 charges. The flat rental cost and an additional damage deposit, which is refunded later. The rental amount was paid into a Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) account. As it turned out, the amount was £7.00 short and required a further transfer by debiting my credit card. After a number of phone calls including a call to RBS Edinburgh, who said they did not attach charges to incoming international payments (liers), the problem was sorted. This small amount is an annoyance and needs to be sorted in the payment process, which could be done quite easily without causing duress to the payer.
However, it was generally a pleasant stay and at the cost was substantially cheaper than the other options. I would pick this option again and, there is free parking.

convenient and peaceful
Excellent area to relax in, yet only minutes from the city centre. Convenient bus service, large Tesco nearby, petrol pump, pubs, bars, restaurants. Flat itself also thoughtfully designed, practical and comfortable. Everything thought of, right down to the measuring jug in the kitchen! Good water pressure in bath, the only downside was separate hot and cold taps in the bath sink. Detailed directions for everything in a folder, bus routes timetables, very professional dealing by Edinburgh flats through email.
